Follow Rishan as she travels the world training and competing to be the best she can be.
Her goal is to be the first woman to represent Samoa in flat water sprint kayaking at the Olympic Games.
After competing at her first world championships in Poznan 2010 she has her sights set on qualifying for London 2012.

Australia Grand Prix 2

After Rishan's performance at the Blue Lakes Regatta we decided that we would go to the GP2 in Penrith, Sydney. We arrived on Thursday at the Castleraugh Academy which is a 10 minute walk to the regatta course.
Racing started on Friday with the 1000m events. Rishan progressed to the A final and placed a well earned 5th place.
Saturday brought the 500m event and once again Rishan made it to the A final. The pace was fast with many of Australia's top junior paddlers put on a good show. Rishan raced well to finish in 9th place.
Sunday the last day of racing and the 200m events. The girls really stepped up the pace and Rishan placed 5th in her heat to qualify for the B final. In her final Rishan raced her best to achieve 5th Place.

Another positive weekend of racing with things to work on and fine tune for the upcoming Oceania Champs in Rotorua.

Do it the Aussie's way and have an ice bath after racing.
